The Best Way to Spend Saturday

Last night Boyfriend and I stayed at his mom's house. She had to be at the airport by 4:30am, which meant we got the pleasure of getting into the car at 3:30, since the airport is an hour away. Good thing my boyfriend is Tony Stark and got us to the airport and then home safely.

Needless to say, when I woke up, I felt like doing absolutely nothing. It turns out the sushi party was cancelled, so we were able to laze around (read: he SLEPT) until 2:00pm. Then we headed to Costco to do weekly shopping.

After Costco, we went to our local natural food store to pick up the rest of the food (not in massive quantities) for dinner for the week. As soon as we got home, I begged him to do a little workout with me.

He's really the greatest, working out with me two days in a row. We did two videos from my favorite website Fitnessblender.

When we were finished and nice and sweaty, we decided it was a good time to head to the kitchen. He had bought a kombucha starter kit, so he worked on that while I worked on dinner. It was so nice just being together in the kitchen.

I made garlic-chipotle shredded chicken for tacos, or in my case, taco salad. And roasted some of the 47 pounds of broccoli we had in the fridge.

Now we are sitting around, just watching silly YouTube videos and laughing with each other.

I couldn't ask for a better Saturday of doing pretty much nothing but being together.

Tomorrow is long run Sunday. It seems to come so fast these days.

How was your Saturday?
What would be your ideal weekend?

  2. I need to invest in some free weights for my house...with all the TV I watch, I figure it'd make me a lot more productive!
