How To Avoid Homework Successfully

I had glorious plans of doing homework all weekend and getting way ahead of things. I do have a lot of assignments done already that aren't due for 2 or 3 weeks. It's the reading. I am a little behind. To say the least...

Saturday I woke up and did the hour and a half workout video from Fitnessblender.

I chose the 90 minute one because it's the longest one they have. As much as I love working out, let's be honest, I was avoiding the pile of books. I did sit down and get a few assignments done, but then my sister texted me and this happened.

There was a chicken wing festival happening and they were going, so they invited me along. I cannot say no to spending time with this precious little girl.

It just so happened that this was the first weekend of the month which meant Art's Alive. There is always a party at my step mom's business where there's free food. I never pass that up. Boyfriend was also playing on the boardwalk.

I was planning on returning home to do homework, but then we had to go out to dinner because we were famished and hadn't eaten for 20 whole minutes.

We spent the 45 minutes we waited for our food Snapchatting back and forth because we found out that you can have a score on Snapchat. We are kind of competitive in this family.

This morning was Long Run Sunday. I read Dark Places on the treadmill and time went by really fast. I ended up at 9 miles before I decided it was time to call it quits. The run felt really easy, though, which was great since running has felt hard lately.

After breakfast (lunch at this point), we headed south for a surprise party.

Boyfriend's mom turned 50 on Tuesday and we got her good. I felt really bad about canceling brunch because I knew she was looking forward to it, but this had been planned for weeks. I think she enjoyed herself.

Of course it's Sunday, so that means family dinner. Tonight my dad switched things up on us ad did not make a fruit salad. We were all shocked and it was the topic of discussion at the table. Did he make a strawberry soup that he forced us to eat first.

It was delicious. Now it's 8 and I still haven't opened a book. It was a successful weekend of avoiding homework.

  2. It's crazy how a good book can make time fly...I wish I could run on the treadmill without getting motion sick/falling off haha.

    1. I know! I can read a book for what feels like 10 minutes and suddenly 2 hours has passed. I always get asked how I run and read at the same time. I seriously don't have any tips, but when I do, I will blog about it! :-)
