Drinking the Kool-Aid

My only girl cousin on my mom's side came into town from Connecticut on Thursday, the same day I was busy with this:

That baby has my whole heart and I cannot wait to take her on runs with me.

Since I was a horrible cousin and didn't spend any time with her the first day she was here, I've been making her drink the workout Kool-Aid with me.

My legs felt totally detached from my legs during the first 3 miles I ran. I think it had to do with the fact that I was up until 2 in the morning the night before and then woke up at 8:30 when boyfriend came home from work.

I was not going to let myself get away with a crappy run, so after my shoulder routine, I decided to run 2 more miles.

Those two miles were so much better. I guess my legs were awake or something.

Today, I forced boyfriend and cousin to drink my Kool-Aid. There were curse words during the hour long HIIT video I forced them to do with me.

I love forcing people into my healthy lifestyle because they always thank me later. We cooled down by playing Rummy.

Then we went on a field trip to the library. I haven't been to the library since I was about 7 years old, but my mom needed to pick up some books for her students since school starts soon. We ended up here, of course:

I practiced my puzzle skills.

And boyfriend got cozy with an underwater animal.

Speaking of boyfriend, we were messing around today and I told him that I bet my back was more muscular than his, so we took some photos.

I definitely win! I was really excited because I never see my back, so I was completely kidding. Low and behold, it was true! Also, my back isn't sunburned, that's just how the picture turned out with the lighting.

I also go extra spoiled today. Boyfriend likes to give me gifts randomly as an "I love you, so here's a present just because," and today was one of those days.

It's not one of those rings yet, but I did send my dad a text to try and freak him out. It didn't really work.

Tomorrow is brunch at my dad's and long run Sunday. We will see how far I get since I haven't done a long run in two weeks. I'm kind of nervous but excited at the same time. I also get to hold this little one again!

Any plans for Sunday??
