My Valentine's Day

I've never been a big Valentine's Day person. Whether I am in a relationship or not. Today was no different. I spent all day in class with the loves of my life, so that was a good day.

Something about sittin for 6 hours in class really makes running muh easier. I got lost in my run (another treadmill one because California is currently making up for lost rain). It didn't even feel like an hour had passed.

Interestingly enough, I ran the same distance last year on this day. Must be a tradition or something. I had a date to get to with the boyfriend. He got off work this morning and we have a standing Costco date every Friday. It's our version of romance.

Please don't ask why my sweatshirt says lifeguard on it. It's not mine. We picked up a chicken and I made baby cabbages (our favorite) and quinoa.

Now these two and I are curled up ready to watch some HIMYM. I am incredibly sad that it's ending in a few short weeks.

As far as Valentine's Day goes, it's been pretty great, and 100% us. We aren't big on ooey gooey romance at all. In other news, my former roommate and good friend recently became a licensed cosmetologist and she came over to give me my first hair cut in a year. My hair hasn't been this short in years. I'm in love.

Valentine's Day? Yay or nay?

  1. Nice hair! My DVR quit recording HIMYM so I think I am behind on a few episodes... I had almost the exact same dinner as you last night except my veggie was broccoli! Twinsiiiiies!

  2. Love the haircut! We're not big Valentine's people either; last night, I went to the gym (late, because students actually stayed for help! Miraculous!), then we had breakfast-for-dinner because it was easy, and we flipped back and forth between Big Bang Theory and the Olympics while I looked at fall marathons online. So basically, it was like every other Friday night and I loved it.

    1. Thank you, lady! That Friday night sounds like my Friday nights. We would be too wild if we ever got together. I don't think the world could handle it.

  3. I literally do nothing for Valetine's Day. It's just not important to us. I figure it gets SO busy everywhere fun on V-Day, so we just stay home, watch movies, have dinner, etc. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't really care!

    1. It's not important to us either. Boyfriend's note to me actually said, "Thanks for not liking Valentine's Day with me." I would much rather be at home without seven gazillion other people.

    1. I have to say, I love pink too. Everything in my life is pink from my phone case to my keyboard cover. I guess I am always in the Valentine's Day spirit!!
