Super Bowl Runday

Wow.  It's been a few days since I last blogged.  I've missed you all.  Let me back up to Thursday night when my heart almost stopped beating for two seconds.

For some reason, he asked me out of the blue how far I thought he could go if he ran for two hours straight.  I asked him if he wanted to try it.  Jokingly.  And then it turned into that.  I can't believe he said okay.  Unfortunately, he had forgotten that he switched shifts this week because we are going to a concert on Tuesday and he ended up working today.  But I am holding him to the run!

On Friday, I had class all day.  Something about sitting for six hours straight makes me more motivated to go to the gym than ever.  My best cohort friend came with me and we were on the treadmill for an hour.  It's amazing how much faster time goes when you have someone by your side.  I felt so much better afterward.  I had to sprint home to get showered and ready for a graduation dinner.  My old roommate has graduated from beauty school and we all went to Japanese for dinner to celebrate her amazing accomplishment.

I did not order sushi.  I know.  It's shocking.  But my meal was delicious.  I was starving by the time we got there.  It's really amazing I got a picture.

Saturday morning began with a nice workout via the internet and breakfast.  Then I had a very important coffee date with my ladies.

She's sitting up on her own now!  She will also be 6 months old on the 15th.  Um.  Where did the year go???  I remember sitting in that hospital room awaiting her arrival like it was yesterday.  My other leading lady was there too.  She turned three months yesterday.  I can't even believe it.  Pretty soon they will be graduating from high school.

After an hour with the babes, my other leading ladies showed up to do homework with me.  My favorites ordered food and one of them ordered pizza assuming it was a slice.  It actually was a large cheese pizza.  We didn't even have room for it on the table thanks to our lap tops.  It was pretty amusing.

After three hours, our homework was complete.  It was so great to have friends to sit with me and throw ideas back and forth.

By the time I got home, I was too tired to think about doing anything.  It was Art's Alive, but I needed a night in.  So, boyfriend put on a movie and I popped popcorn and we zoned out and cuddled for the evening.  It was perfect.

Moe got in on the cuddle action as well.  I'm really missing his big brother.

Today was Super Bowl Sunday.  I am obviously a huge football fan and extremely popular, so I had three parties to attend.  Okay, that was 100% sarcastic.  I don't even know how much a touchdown is worth in football.  And who was playing?  The Seahorses or something?  ;-)  I did actually have three parties to go to, so I got my run out of the way early.  It was too nice to not run outside, so I did 9 miles outside.

I didn't feel quite done when I got back to my dad's house, so I continued on the treadmill.

I was too busy eating at the parties to snap any pictures, but my best friend got this shot of her daughter and our friend's son holding her.  It is just too precious.

The night ended with more homework and more food.

How was your Super Bowl Sunday?

  3. Well done on the run! I've yet to have a long run that ends with the thought of "I want to keep going; think I'll hit the treadmill." So, way to go on that one!
Also, all those babies in your post are SUPER cute!
